Circulator Services

Our Circulator Services

Water circulators are designed to maintain steady water movement, effectively eliminating stagnant zones that can promote mosquito breeding and the growth of unwanted aquatic vegetation. In colder months, they also help prevent ice formation, safeguarding docks, piers, and other permanent structures from winter damage.

Why Use A Circulator?

Water circulators are a versatile tool installed to create consistent water movement. They eliminate stagnant water areas to limit mosquito reproduction and unwanted aquatic plants. Lake water circulators also prevent ice formation to protect permanent structures from damage during the winter months.

Our Circulator Winterization Program

This Blue Water Aquatics winterization program will help ensure that your circulator is protected from the harsh winter elements. The program includes the following:

  • Removal of your circulator

  • Inspection of equipment

  • Clean and store your circulator inside our warehouse

  • Spring installation and startup

Circulators are generally shut down and winterized starting in late October with all units shut down by the end of November. Circulators are generally started up for operation in March. While winterization is recommended to protect the equipment in the winter, it is not required. Timelines may be adjusted pending weather and seasonal conditions. Customers will be notified of circulator start up and winterization.
